Metal fitters

PHALANX Recruitment Agency is recruiting Metal Fitters and Mechanical Assembly Technicians for industrial projects in Germany.

The role involves fitting, assembling and finishing metal components used in the manufacturing and customisation of commercial and specialised vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembling and installing metal frames and individual components.
• Fitting and securing parts according to assembly instructions.
• Working from basic technical drawings.
• Drilling, cutting, grinding and finishing metal components.
• Using hand tools and power tools.
• Checking assembly accuracy and workmanship.
• Following safety procedures and working as part of a production team.

Requirements

• Experience in mechanical fitting, metalworking or similar production activities is an advantage.
• Confidence using workshop and assembly tools.
• Ability to understand basic technical drawings.
• Basic English or German communication skills.
• Reliability, accuracy and teamwork.
• Category B driving licence is an advantage.

Employment Details

• Location: Germany; exact project location confirmed beforehand.
• Pay: €13–15 net/hour.
• Working hours: an estimated 200+ hours per month depending on the project, subject to applicable regulations; hours are not guaranteed.
• Accommodation: employer-arranged, typically two or three people per room. Any employee costs will be clarified before employment.
• Contract: a Croatian employment contract with assignment to Germany is envisaged, subject to applicable legal requirements.
• Start: tentatively November 2026, subject to confirmation.
